Here is some information about it: very few cars changed the face of competitive motorsports more than jaguar’s xk120. born from the ashes of world war ii, the xk120 let the world know that fun could still be had even in the immediate postwar. the xk120 made its debut at the 1948 london motor show as a purpose-built show car, but it caused such a sensation that the great william lyons ordered it into production. the xk120 went on to win races on every continent and was also favored by motorists everywhere. actor clark gable even took delivery of his xk120 roadster in 1949. clearly jaguar had a winner on its hands and the xk120 was the car to beat.

Built by metalcraft products in 1998 this speedster has a square tube frame made of 1/8” walled cold drawn box tubing that has been rust proofed and powder coated. The front suspension is an a frame fully independent, upper u shaped and strut type lower control arms and coilover shock absorbers with a 24. 4mm stabilizer bar. The rack and pinion steering gear is from a mk1 golf. The rear suspension is independent as well with coilovers and 24. 4mm stabilizer bar. The engine is a performance build 2007cc with a compression ratio of 9. 5:1 and fueled by dual 42mm delorto producing 125hp with a 4 speed rhino transmission that moves this stealthy little replica quickly down the road. Heater boxes come with the car but are not installed. Other spare parts and numerous manuals are included with the sale. Also, unique to this replica is an original porsche vin (b947889) taken from a salvaged porsche. Also, included are the soft top, side curtains, tonneau cover and car cover. The engine has been retrofitted with a crane ultra-2 cam, world products heads machined to 52 cc, timing gear drive, smi stage 2 electronic quadrajet carburetor and 304ss ho headers.
